Ivona is a UK qualified bilingual Solicitor. Originally from Poland, Ivona read law at Queen Mary College, University of London and then joined PriceWaterhouseCoopers’ Business Restructuring Division, where she gained almost 7 years of insolvency and business restructuring experience.

Ivona began practising as a Solicitor in East London and developed the first Polish-speaking practice in this borough.   She now has a substantial following of Polish clients from all over South East England and Ivona is a well-known figure in the Polish Business Community. She also contributes to and appears in, the Polish Press on a regular basis.

Ivona is a Commercial Solicitor specialising in dispute resolution, company commercial law, all aspects of debt, bankruptcy and employment law. Ivona also undertakes housing dispute cases and she regularly represents foreign haulage companies and individual drivers in matters relating to UK Border Force and HMRC, dealing with objections and appeals against penalties for Customs offences, stowaway migrants and clandestine entrants.

Filarska: a successful ground-breaking application for an overseas vesting order pursuant Art 3 EC Insolvency Regulation 2015/848 (recast) re jurisdiction (COMI) cross-referred to the application of s181 and s 320 of the UK Insolvency Act.

Colney Hatch Ltd: (Chancery Division, Companies’ Court): our application prevented a company insolvent dissolution and the case was thrown out with costs.

British American Tobacco plc versus MAG Gdynia SA. Mercantile Court (High Court) Manchester Registry: acting for MAG against a Claimant represented by a Magic Circle city firm, we advised on significant cutting-edge aspects relating to key provisions aspects and the UK interpretation of the CMR Convention pertaining to a significant duty liability.

Rad Properties Ltd. A successful opposition by complex pleadings to the British Virgin Islands. Incorporated SPV and submitted a Minority shareholder Unfair Prejudice Application.

Kasprzak SA vs Sofa Designer Ltd. Acting for the Defendant company secured a successful strike out of the Claimant’s case with costs.

Regina versus Dryzner. Court of Appeal (Criminal Division) 14 Nov 2014 [2015] CTLC. Regulatory prosecution: we were instructed in relation to the impact of European Union law and principle of non-discrimination in domestic UK digital media law.
